Chef Gabriel

Chef Gabriel Arreola is a third generation chef of Auguste Escoffier, the godfather of modern cuisine.  Chef Gabriel has been in the food industry for over 25 years. From being an Executive Chef to Regional Manager for many restaurant food groups, Chef Gabriel has extensive experience in the industry.  Gabriel has always had a heart to do something big to help the homeless population. As he was cooking fine dining food for celebrities, he was always asking the question in the back of his mind, “Why do these people only get to taste great food?  Why don’t the less fortunate also get to taste great food?” That is when he decided to create a nonprofit organization with the dream of creating a self-sustaining aquaponic farming system and vocational culinary school that will bring top quality food to those on the streets and those in need.

Mission Statement

Kitchen Gourmet exists to help the Veteran homeless, homeless community and kids in need to provide them with healthy food and guidance in Culinary Arts Degree. Our sole purpose is to teach and show how to build a farming system and to provide a Culinary Arts Program to get them off the streets

Vision

Our vision is to build a strong system of Farming and Culinary Arts that helps communities provide food, jobs and to get the unhoused and kids off the streets. To take this system, and duplicate it and build more in third world countries and other US cities

There are over 67,000 individuals experiencing homelessness on the streets of Los Angeles, and it is our vision to be able to provide healthy, low-fat meals on a regular basis. It is also our goal to help them get off the streets and connected to resources such as healthcare and housing. Kitchen Gourmet’s mission is to change entire communities and change the way we feed vulnerable populations such as the homeless and veteran homeless communities. We aim to provide them with fresh, healthy meals made from scratch. Through our culinary Program and to provide jobs within the industry.
